First Day in Italy

The drive from the Milan airport to Vergato, where we’re staying, took about two hours.  A GPS was tremendously helpful except for when we were trying to locate a grocery store.  We ended up making some very challenging turn-arounds out of dead-end streets before finally finding a coop.  The gelato store next door made it all worthwhile, and we are going to try my friend Lydia’s suggestion to sample gelato every day, and always try a new flavor.  Morgan is modifying the challenge to include one part chocolate (always) and one part experiment daily.

We bought fruit from this stand--fantastic!

It was great to get to the house and relax by the pool.  View is amazing.  Dan made penne w/Bolognese sauce.  We're so happy here!
